Privacy policy

Privacy is a product feature.

AttenSight is designed as a local-first focus coach. This policy explains what the app tracks, what stays on your PC, and what may be processed only when you choose optional paid AI or cloud-connected features.

Last updated: June 29, 2026 Applies to Free, Coach, and Assistant

1. Information AttenSight Tracks

AttenSight may record activity data such as active apps, websites, window titles, timestamps, idle periods, focus sessions, context switches, goals, categories, tasks, review history, and timeline events. This data is used to show where focus breaks, such as studying drifting to YouTube, writing interrupted by messages, client switching, or browser drift after lunch.

2. Local-First Storage

The core tracker stores activity history in a local database on your PC. The Free plan is designed around local tracking, local charts, local timelines, and local privacy controls. AttenSight does not need a public network service to show your basic attention history.

3. Optional Screenshots and Screenshot Text Reading

Screenshot capture is optional and is not enabled in the Free plan. If you choose a plan or setting that enables screenshots or screenshot text reading, those features may capture more sensitive on-screen context. You should enable them only when you are comfortable with that additional detail being stored or processed.

4. AI Features

Coach and Assistant features may summarize days or weeks, answer questions about your activity history, flag repeated distraction loops, understand screenshots if you enable that feature, or reason across apps, projects, and commitments. When AI features are used, selected activity data may be processed to produce those results. AttenSight should make these upgrades clear before use.

5. Exports and Integrations

Spreadsheet exports and developer exports are paid features and are created only when you request them. Calendar integrations, if enabled, may exchange scheduling information with the calendar provider you connect. Third-party services have their own privacy practices.

6. Your Controls

AttenSight includes privacy controls such as private mode, hide-title rules, ignore rules, and local data management. You can use these controls to reduce what is saved, hide sensitive titles, or prevent matching activity from being tracked going forward.

7. Data Security

Local-first storage reduces unnecessary exposure, but your computer account, device security, backups, and exported files still matter. Keep your PC protected and treat exported activity files as private records.

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated as AttenSight adds features, subscriptions, integrations, or AI capabilities. The updated date at the top of this page will change when the policy is revised.

9. Contact

For privacy questions, contact the AttenSight team through the official download, support, or purchase channel where you received the product.
